  1. There are only two actual requirements for you to be and remain a member
  2. of Fidonet.
  3.  
  4. 1.  That your system is capable of sending and receiving Netmail.
  5.  
  6. 2.  That you observe Zone Mail Hour which is:
  7.     
  8.     For Central Standard Time  3:00 to 4:00 A.M.
  9.     For Daylight Savings Time  4:00 to 5:00 A.M.
  10.     
  11. This requires that your system be up and running, with a mail only flag set,
  12. free of users, during that hour of the day.  YOU CANNOT ALLOW ACCESS TO
  13. YOUR BBS during ZONE MAIL HOUR.
  14.     
  15. The Net Coordinator, in administering his duties, WILL check to make sure
  16. that all nodes follow Zone Mail Hour, on occasion.  NOT observing Zone Mail
  17. Hour CAN cost you your node number.
  18.  
  19. If you have occasion to be down or are non-operational for longer than 24 
  20. hours, you should notify the Net Coordinator OR contact a fellow Fidonet
  21. member so that he may get word to the Net Coordinator.
